Benelli Breast Lift
Many women who are unhappy enough with their breasts to seek out information about augmentation face an unfortunate surprise and that is that if you have experienced drooping or sagging of your breasts then you are not a good candidate for breast augmentation without having a breast lift performed either first or at the same time. If you continue with the augmentation without performing a lift you will only exacerbate the sagging effect of your breasts.
Just like augmentation, there are a few different surgical procedures to accomplish a breast lift that you should be aware of before visiting your doctor for the first time. The method we are going to discuss here is the Benelli breast lift.
What is a Benelli Breast Lift Procedure
The Benelli breast lift is a surgical procedure that is used to lift breasts that are suffering from ptosis of the breasts, which is a fancy way of saying sagging breasts. The procedure is similar to other breast lift procedures but with a few minor but significant differences, the main being the way the incision is made and how the breast is lifted. The Benelli procedure basically removes a donut ring of flesh around the nipple. The width of the donut will vary slightly depending on the amount of ptosis and the individual breast.
Once this donut of skin is removed the surrounding skin is then reattached to the nipple and in the process the skin is drawn tighter by the width of the donut. Often your surgeon will take this opportunity to move the nipple upward to position it higher on the breast than prior to the surgery.
The scar tissue post surgery is minimal in that it is hidden around the edge of the nipple and will fade gradually over time to blend right in with the nipple. The width and shape of the donut material that is removed will depend on the amount of droop and shape of your breasts. Small amounts of droop will require very minimal material to be removed while larger amounts will require a wider donut that might be shaped oblong like the above example.
Benelli Breast Lift Risks
As with any of the breast surgery procedures there are risks associated with the procedure. You will need to undergo anesthesia, which is always a concern, and you will have the normal levels of risk around infection and recovery during your post surgery recovery period.
You will have incisions that will need to heal following the surgery and your surgeon will likely give you very detailed instructions on how to care for your incisions until they heal. It is usually very simple and only requires that you keep your incisions clean and covered with steri-strips until your sutures are removed. There will be a lot of other small issues to contend with but your doctor can give you detailed instructions.
The risk factor that you really want to keep an eye on following your Benelli Breast lift is infection. You will be in good hands while in the hospital but in the days following your release you need to monitor your temperature and watch for any symptoms carefully. It is also extremely important that you take every single antibiotic pill that your doctor prescribes. Do not fail to do this as it is a critical part of fighting off infection.
Benelli Breast Lift Results
Your results may vary and you should always consult your doctor to find the right breast lift procedure for your needs but we are sharing a few before and after pictures of some Benelli breast lift procedures below.

Benelli Procedure combined with breast augmentation surgery. Notice the nipple sitting much higher on the breast post surgery.

Another Benelli lift combined with implants. Without the Benelli procedure the nipples would still be pointing down even after augmentation surgery.
Benelli Breast Lift Costs
It’s very difficult to pin down an accurate price on this type of surgery as the costs can vary so dramatically by individual patient and by geography. The best thing you can do is to find a surgeon you feel really comfortable talking to and have confidence in their abilities and then discuss price with them. Surgery isn’t something you should try to find at a bargain, so understand that you will very much get what you pay for.
Approximately 93k breast lift surgeries are performed each year in the United States.
